I'm back!
Wow, it's been a while since I last blogged, and a lot of things have happened since then. In my last post, I had just handed in my notice to TNS. Well, five weeks on, I've started my part-time MSc, am doing Drupal development, my company Annertech has been fully incorporated and I've set up a home office. I've even sorted out a pension!
It's been a bit hectic to be honest. There were even a couple of weeks where I was trying to juggle working for TNS, working with CivicActions and going to my MSc lectures. Yep, I'm doing some work for CivicActions and it's awesome to be working with Drupal and with some great people. I've also agreed to do a few hours a week for Acquia as a support consultant. I haven't started with Acquia yet, but I'm really looking forward to it.
So, I've started a part-time MSc in Software Engineering in DCU, Dublin. So far so good, but it's early days yet. I've just two modules this semester. One on "Secure Coding" which I'm really enjoying and the other on "Professional and Research Practises" which seems a bit wafflely to be honest. I've no idea how many people are in my class as for each lecture we're put together with three other courses! Needless to say the male to female ratio leaves a lot to be desired, with only 5 females in a group of 60-70. :(
As if things weren't busy enough, I've also committed to organising an Irish Drupal event here in Dublin. Thankfully Heather is also helping and DIT have agreed to give us the venue free of charge! Not only that, but they're also providing free catering. Details on the meet-up can be found at http://groups.drupal.org/node/15343 You can even download and print off a poster for it! You should definitely come along if you can make it. It's on in DIT, Kevin Street on the Saturday 15th November from 10am to 5pm.
Things will be getting back to normal soon, I hope, so for all you Lightbox2 users out there, don't worry. I plan on tackling the issue queue later this week and getting out another release as soon as possible, I promise!
